How permissions work
The Appcharge dashboard uses role-based access control. Each user is assigned a role (e.g. Admin, Viewer, Designer) and each role has a defined set of allowed actions. If your role does not include a required permission, the dashboard returns: "The request is not authorized, missing permissions."
Common scenarios
- You are a Designer role attempting to upload media — media upload requires a higher-permission role
- You have access to one project but are trying to view a different project
- Your account was recently added to the project but with a restricted role
How to fix
- Confirm which project you are trying to access — if you have access to multiple projects, ensure you are selecting the correct one
- Ask your team's Admin user to check your role and update it if a higher permission level is needed
- If you believe your role should already include the required permission, contact Appcharge Support
